her only hope of survival rest in the hands of the man sent out to kill her . . .
From The Book Junkie Reads . . . Soul Finder (The Immortal Gene, #2) . . .
Diesel captivated me in book one. I was not sure what to make of him. I could clearly understand Nadia’s need to have him close. He had 1100 years of strength, protection, bad-ass-ness on his side. She needed the strength and protection to make it to the next day, but she did have a healthy dose of fear of this man. While at the same time her attraction to him grew.

Everything seemed to flow flawlessly into action. We see thing begin where the first left off. I was so excited and amped up to get to reading. I wasted no time. As I turned closed the first, I opened this one and began my continued adventure. Action packed. Adventure.

Diesel wanted an end the reincarnation. To do so he needed Nadia. He was sent to kill her, but there was something within him pushing he to protect her. She was the one thing in his world that he cared about. But love was not a part of his make up or was it. Join in on this adventure see where the race for reincarnation goes or does it end or change.

I was able to read book 1 & 2 back to back. I am sitting her on the precipice of the next release. I so have this on my must have, must read, must obtain. The final installment in this trilogy will be something. I will start all over again with book 1. I will need my dose all at once please. Thank you.

BLUB
Since being discovered as Soulless, Nadia has become a target for both terrorist groups and government corporations. Now, her only hope for survival rests in the hands of the man sent out to kill her: Diesel, the Mad Dog terrorist.

Diesel is determined to free himself of the never ending curse of reincarnation and the haunting memories that plague his mind. But when his search leads him to Nadia, a greater desire stills him from taking her life.

Unable to see into Diesel’s cracking mind, Nadia instead puts her faith into his strength, fueled by eleven generations of unmatched rage and insanity. Their tight-rope relationship balances the two between life and death, love and rage, trust and betrayal.

Tension pulls at the hems of their dangerous companionship, and as time runs out all madmen must eventually make their choice.

Book two of the thrilling Immortal Gene series dives deeper into the danger of trusting your heart over your head.

I shook my head. This must be a nightmare. This must be fake.

“This isn’t you, Diesel. This is Krane’s influence. You’re sick but once you get some D400 into you, you’ll be you again.”
Diesel’s voice tightened. “I’m not sick. Don’t you get it? Krane, Diesel, there’s no difference.”
My breath shuddered out. All this time, everyone referred to him as Krane but I had ignored it. All this time I was warned of Krane’s cruel capabilities but I was so certain Diesel wasn’t the same malicious person. But Krane wasn’t a separate entity held behind a wall of D400. It was just another name fitted to a different face.
 I stepped back. “You’re disgusting!”
“Nadia.” He smiled as though I was joking. He reached out to touch me. I jerked away.
With all the coldness I could master, I gritted through my teeth. “Men like you remind me that there are such things as real monsters.”
My words hit something dark inside of Diesel and immediately he dropped his smile. “Hmm, so what do you call those that love monsters like me, huh? How disgusting are you then?”
He was right. We were a candle on fire, destined to destroy each other. He was a flame, clinging to me, not letting me go as I melted beneath. I could feel myself weaken in my core, my sides running with wax. The more the flame ate and picked me away, the further my body hollowed until all that was left were brittle walls melting into a puddle. Once I was gone, he’d snap shut into smoke.
“Maybe you are right. Maybe love really is just poison an idiot drinks.”
Diesel’s eyes narrowed. “Didn’t you say nothing could break you?”

“I’m not broken. You are. And this is a poison you can now drink alone.”

Sequel to:
Soulless

From The Book Junkie Reads . . . Soulless (The Immortal Gene, #1) . . .
I gotta be real with you. I got trapped in this world with the very idea that reincarnation was indeed a way of life. It was life. It was the way to live and yet be tormented by the lives of the past and the disasters that plagued said life.  I am super excited that I have read this book. It had opened up a new realm of dystopic ideas for exploration of my mind. I took my time and allow for myself to soak in all the nuances of this read. Nadia Richards has become one of my favorite women. She was all that and some. Strong, smart, cunning, determined, and soulless.

Nadia has much to overcome. Her parents, her friends, her neighbors, her everything. They all want nothing more than to kill her, eat her, experiment on her, or just plain possess her. What’s a young soulless girl to do? She wants to live and be left alone, but unfortunate for her she has what other want or better yet she doesn’t have what others want. She was born soulless. She was the anomaly that everyone wanted to get their hands on.

Soulless gave the amazing realm of life and death an edge to it. It opened doors to a realism that just may be crafty for some, deadly for others, and pure obsession for many. The read provides so much more than just the average. There was a decent amount of action, suspense, thrilling adventure.

I am very happy to have the second book in had because the ending had me gasping for air and excited at the same time. I was getting to move on and see what was coming next.
